HOW TO GET THERE:
- From Surigao City:
Option 1: Hire a van all the way to Gigaquit
Option 2: Take the van or jeepney going to Gigaquit at the Surigao City Central Terminal. You can also ride those going to Claver or Surigao del Sur then get off at Gigaquit Junction in Bgy. San Isidro (Parang), Gigaquit. To go to the town proper, take a motorcylce (habal-habal) from the junction.
- From Butuan City:
Option 1: Hire a van all the way to Gigaquit
Option 2: Take the van or bus from Langihan Terminal in Butuan City then get off in Bad-as, Placer. Then take a jeepney, van or bus going to Gigaquit. You can also ride those going to Claver or Surigao del Sur then get off at Gigaquit Junction in Bgy. San Isidro (Parang), Gigaquit. To go to the town proper, take a motorcylce (habal-habal) from the junction.
- You can take the airplane or ferry boat from Manila or Cebu City to go to Surigao City or Butuan City.
WHERE TO STAY
- You can book at the Gigaquit Town House. Please contact Gigaquit Tourism Office for reservation.
WHERE TO EAT
Option 1: If you want cook by yourself, gas stove can be provided at the Gigaquit townhouse.
Option 2: A local chef can be hired to cook for you.
Option 3: Arrange for cooked meal to be delivered to you.

just wonder, sa mga picture na nakapost, ya man gajud ako makakita nan ato las-ay. waya ba’y nakadisplay with nice packaging nan ato las-ay for promotional purposes? I like the one shown in pasayan festival in surigao. gana adto na packaging.

I hope na an pagpromote nan ato bino di ra mahuman sa pag celebrate nan wine festival. btw, I remember one of our forumers in the surigao thread of Skycrapercity.com who was around during the pasayan festival posted the pix of a packaged Gigaquit Rhum. Buot ko pasabot na tagpromote na sab baja an ato bino sa amo jaon na festival sa Surigao. An ako lamang kahibugngan kay nin uli man ako nan holy week, ya man gajud ako nakit-an nan jadto na packaging. I hope na sa sunod nako na uli, jaon na baligja nan pareho nan adto na packaging. Kay da, mopalit gajud ako para pasalubong. It’s one way of helping to promote our very own product. Tana all Gigaquitnons will do the same para makatabang sab ta malevel up an economy nan ato beloved gigaquit.
